A Milestone Achieved

Today marks a new chapter in the history of SMK Taman Desa. After months of planning, compiling of information, fine-tuning and with the relentless support from the PIBG (PTA), school administrators, teachers and students, finally, the school's official website has become a reality. We are truly indebted to the PIBG for their financial support and our technical advisor, Mr Tay for his excellent level of technical expertise which has made it possible. Thank you very much.

The PTA Chairman Mr Chang Kim Loong, AMN launched the website this morning in a simple yet meaningful ceremony.

An ingeniously created flash accompanied by exciting music (courtesy of Mr Tay) was shown to showcase a few major sections of the website.

Saya berasa amat berbangga dan bertuah berdiri di sini pada pagi yang berbahagia ini untuk memberi sepatah- dua kata dan seterusnya merasmikan Laman Web SMK Taman Desa.
The School has developed a user friendly website tool for educational purposes that improves communication amongst students and teachers (current, past and potential), parents, friends and colleagues of the same fraternity, thus strengthening the communication networks. The website is informative, organized and focused on the activities (academic and co-curriculum) of the School and her achievements. The top bar of the web have details of interest: of the School history; profile of the School; Vision & Mission; Statistics; Peraturan Sekolah; Bimbingan & Kaunseling; Disiplin and details of Organizational chart in the School etc. There’s also a countdown to the important public examination dates :-

57 hari sebelum SPM dan STPM (11hb November, 2008)

The simple navigation allows surfers to 'click' and 'search' for activities/ topics of interest as well as make posting on the related thread. There is free exchange of ideas and the thoughtful consideration of divergent view-points are critical to the life of a Secondary School albeit within permitted boundaries. Its salient feature is to educate and instill awareness as well as offer information on the activities carried out by and for the betterment of the School all for the benefit and interest of 'warga-warga SMKTD'.

Congratulations on taking this first exciting step by exploring all the wonderful activities that the School had participated and with more to offer.
