The day kicked off with the traditional march past led by the of Boys’ Brigade Band.
Smartly dressed students from the various Uniform Bodies putting their best foot forward to impress the judges.
Students representing the Red, Blue, Yellow and Green Sports Houses in colourful traditional costumes, interesting heargears, creative banners and mascots marched into the field.
House Captains taking the oath led by the Head Prefect….to participate in the events in the true spirit of sportsmanship.
The school Principal Mr Gan Peng Kheang gave a short speech followed by the PTA Chairman Mr Chang Kim Loong,AMN and the day's sprinting events started off with a big “bang" !
The performance by the lion dance troupe led by Kok Fai and his friends added fun to the occasion.
. ... with well synchronized movements and music, it was given tumultuous applause
Teachers and PTA council members had some fun too!
On cloud nine- The champion
The Police Cadet Corps won the trophy for the Marching event for uniform bodies, wrestling the trophy from the defending champion and their closest rival, the St John's. What a sweet victory.
Kudos to all who had a part in the successful running of this year's sports and a special "thank you" to the PTA Chairman Mr Chang , all PTA council members,parents and ex-Desarians for taking time off from your busy schedule to make the event a success.
